It’s been an All-Star weekend.

Last night, Blake Griffin soared across a 2011 Kia Optima and dunked a ball passed to him through the car’s sunroof by his Clippers teammate, Baron Davis.
The dunk earned L.A.’s rising star first place in the contest.

While Griffin’s show was certainly entertaining, I’m not sure that he was the best dunker out there. Serge Ibaka and Javale McGee were pulling off some impressive dunks as well, but with his hometown cheering him on, I guess there probably would have been a riot if Griffin hadn’t been dubbed as the champ.

Coming up tonight is the East vs. West All-Star game. The roster is really exciting, and with Yao Ming out of the picture, I’m not sure how the East could lose (as long as Griffin and Durant stay out of our way). It’ll also be interesting to see how Stoudemire, Wade, James and Rajon Rondo play together.

Fans are already lining up days ahead of the Twilight:Eclipse premiere in L.A.I’ll admit that I am reading the books; but at least I’m not that crazy about the series yet.And honestly, I don’t see how anyone could be.The books are written very poorly. They make Dan Brown read like William Shakespeare. The story takes forever to unfold.I realize that they probably speed things up a bit for the movie, but I don’t see how this relatively dialogue-less novel could turn into a good two-hour long movie.Oh, by the way, did you see the Staples Center in the background? The house of victory, that is.Benovic Bradley
